Alexa skill
Terms of use
Effective July 26, 2026
By using the HomelessHelper Alexa skill, you agree to these terms. The skill provides free informational referrals to shelters and other community resources in the United States.
Not an emergency service
The skill does not replace 911, 988, 211, professional medical care, or advice from a qualified service provider. Call 911 for immediate danger. Call or text 988 for suicide or mental-health crisis support.
No guarantee of availability
Provider listings, schedules, vacancies, food stocks, eligibility, and contact details may change without notice. A referral is not a reservation or guarantee of service. Call the listed provider or 211 before traveling whenever possible.
Location results
Results are based on a location you say or, with permission, the country and postal code saved for the Alexa device. That saved address may be incomplete, outdated, or different from the device's current location.
Acceptable use
Do not use the skill to interfere with providers, misuse contact information, impersonate another person, or attempt unauthorized access. The service may be changed or suspended to protect users, providers, and the directory.
Third-party services
HomelessHelper links or refers to independent providers and public agencies. Those organizations control their own services, policies, eligibility decisions, and availability.
