Use urgent numbers safely

Urgent contacts stay visible even when the directory cannot load.

In the United States, call 911 for immediate danger or a medical emergency. Call or text 988 for suicide or mental-health crisis support. Call 211 for help finding local community resources. HomelessHelper is a directory and does not dispatch emergency services or monitor requests for urgent assistance.

The Android Urgent tab provides call buttons. Pressing one opens the phone dialer with the number; the app does not place an automatic call. Complete the call yourself when appropriate. A device without a supported dialer, telephone service or a working connection may not be able to call.

Do not wait for a help-center reply, provider claim review or the website question tool during an emergency. Urgent contact guidance and the Sources tab are bundled in Android and remain readable without a directory download. Carrier and outside-service conditions apply.
